46,000 people attended the Russian RED EXPO gaming exhibition. RED EXPO has become the largest exhibition in the Russian gaming industry since 2019. Over the course of four days, from November 28 to December 1, 46,000 visitors from various regions attended the international gaming exhibition RED EXPO held at the Krasnogorsk Exhibition Center in Moscow. This is the largest event in the past five years in the Russian electronic gaming, electronic entertainment, and game development industries.
Organizers believe that this highly praised event proves the high demand from Russian audiences for electronic games and such activities. The exhibition was supported and sponsored by leading Russian gaming companies: Lesta Games, VK Play, Astrum Entertainment, and 1C Game Studios. RED EXPO covered an area of 26,000 square meters, with three large exhibition halls and one separate business zone. Most of the exhibition area was dedicated to electronic game booths by Russian developers, with the largest booth displayed by the general partner, in addition to the participation of many technology companies, such as Tecno x M. Game. The independent game area gathered up to 60 independent developers, attracting a large number of journalists, developers, and publishers seeking business opportunities and potential projects. “Our gaming industry has not had its own event for five years. The e-sports area hosted several competitions, covering multiple titles such as World of Tanks, World of Warships, Warface, Caliber, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile, Dota 2, Point Blank, and Standoff 2. The main stage featured K-pop band NCHIVE, leading Russian and regional bloggers, musicians, and artists, and also showcased the largest cosplay show in Russian history. The main stage was also the venue for important press conferences from several Russian companies.During the RED EXPO, the RED CONF gaming industry business conference was also held, focusing on the business issues of the game development industry. Up to 2000 participants engaged in over 100 roundtable discussions, seminars, and lectures, covering topics such as human resources, marketing, development, design, art, artificial intelligence, management, and legal details for gaming companies. Speakers included representatives from the Russian Game Association, as well as representatives from the international gaming communities of South Korea, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, and China.
