Studies have shown that insufficient sleep is an important factor in the development of inflammation. However, new research has found that this level of inflammation can be offset. Recently, a study published by researchers from the Department of Physical Education of Tsinghua University shows that for people with insufficient sleep, engaging in 20 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise every day can reduce the level of inflammation related to insufficient sleep.
However, if exercise exceeds 20 minutes, the anti-inflammatory effect will not be better. Generally speaking, after staying up late, one should have a good sleep to recover from the physical and mental exhaustion caused by work, and then consider exercising. It should be emphasized here that our idea of controlling weight and improving our immunity through long-term exercise is itself feasible and effective, but intense exercise should not be carried out immediately after staying up late. If you have stayed up late, you should let your body recover to a better state through sufficient sleep before exercising, because our body needs sufficient sleep to enter a deep relaxation state, so as to achieve the purpose of restoring physical strength and energy. Another fact is that even if you don’t stay up all night and sleep one or two hours less every day, it is actually a kind of ‘chronic staying up late’. This state of insufficient sleep has a negative impact on physical health and psychological state that cannot be ignored. Long-term insufficient sleep may lead to emotional fluctuations, anxiety and depression tendencies. People may feel more irritable and more sensitive to the pressure of daily life. Long-term insufficient sleep may also affect people’s social ability and quality of life and reduce the overall satisfaction of life.
