According to wccftech, recently, new images suspected to be of the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con controller have been circulating online. These images were leaked by domestic netizens and show some differences from the current Joy-Con controller. The side of the controller seems to have magnets that can attach them to the game console, just as rumored before. The images also show an infrared camera, larger shoulder buttons, and trigger keys pressed horizontally on the back.
We have reported on the 3D printed version based on the Switch 2 prototype. In view of this, the newly exposed images are likely also 3D printed Switch 2 Joy-Con models rather than official actual devices. Therefore, we should be cautious about these images until the console and accessories are officially announced. According to rumors, this new console may be unveiled in January next year and is expected to be officially released in March 2025.
