Black Myth: Wukong – Graphics and Performance Analysis

Black Myth: Wukong is a role-action adventure game produced and distributed by Game Science and set in Chinese mythology. In the game, you will play as a ‘chosen one’. To explore the truth of past legends, you embark on a journey to the West full of danger and surprises. The game is set against the background of the novel Journey to the West. While the monkey character is at the core, the plot is not limited to the shaping of a single protagonist. Instead, it weaves a heroic legend full of oriental aesthetic characteristics through abundant emotional narratives.
In terms of picture quality, Black Myth: Wukong is made with Unreal Engine 5 and is equipped with the same specification of panoramic ray tracing technology as Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. While this technology brings more exquisite pictures and more realistic details, it also has high requirements for graphics card performance. In the previous graphics card test of Black Myth: Wukong, we found that some players with RTX 30 and earlier graphics cards said that they could not play the game smoothly after turning on all special effects.

Here, in the three mainstream resolutions of 4K, 2K, and 1080P, we have selected several representative graphics cards for game actual tests to see how the RTX 30 graphics card performs in this game and what level of graphics card needs to be upgraded to play Black Myth: Wukong with all special effects on smoothly if the game cannot be played smoothly.
