Elon Musk’s Bold AI Predictions and Potential Risks

According to a report from IT Home, billionaire Elon Musk made a bold prediction about artificial intelligence on the 23rd, stating that it will surpass all human intelligence in the near future. Musk expressed that the development speed of AI is astonishing, while humans have failed to realize the profound impact of this change in a timely manner. He anticipates that by the end of 2025, AI will surpass the intelligence of any single individual, and by 2027 to 2028, it might even surpass the collective intelligence of all humans.

Musk also believes that by 2030, the likelihood of AI surpassing all human intelligence is almost 100%. Musk wrote on his X platform: “The possibility of AI surpassing individual human intelligence by the end of 2025 and the collective intelligence of all humans by 2027 to 2028 is growing larger. By 2030, the probability of artificial intelligence surpassing all human intelligence is close to 100%.

Furthermore, as reported by gagadget, former OpenAI collaborator Leopold Aschbrunner also warned that the potential harm AI could cause to humanity might far outweigh the benefits. He predicts that by 2027, artificial intelligence will develop general artificial intelligence (AGI) equivalent to human intelligence, a development that could trigger a series of negative impacts.
